We are currently seeking an experienced Draftsperson to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for creating detailed technical drawings and contributing to the safe and efficient progress of construction or engineering projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate architectural and structural drawings for commercial and residential projects
- Convert design sketches and concepts into technical drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Revise and update drawings to reflect field changes, markups, or client feedback
- Collaborate with design professionals to ensure coordination across disciplines
- Ensure drawings comply with building codes, zoning bylaws, and company drafting standards
- Assist with the preparation of permit submission sets and construction documents
- Maintain and organize digital drawing files and document control systems
Job Requirements
Language: English
Education: College diploma or apprentice training 2 years minimum
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Draftsperson in residential and/or commercial construction
- Proven experience using AutoCAD and proficiency in Revit is required
- Familiarity with construction detailing and industry-standard drawing practices
- Experience producing complete drawing sets for permitting and construction
- Training in building code compliance or MEP coordination is considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD
- Ability to manage multiple drawing packages and meet project deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
- Self-motivated and adaptable to a fast-paced work environment
