We are currently seeking an experienced Welder to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for precision metalwork and contributing to the safe and efficient progress of construction or industrial projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate semi-automatic welding equipment using SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) and FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) techniques or equivalent
- Perform torch cutting, tack welding, flame cutting, and pre-heating of materials
- Fabricate, weld, and repair various equipment and metal structures
- Conduct minor repairs and report deficiencies to the appropriate manager
- Maintain communication with supervisors and team members
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Language: English
Education: Diploma or apprentice training of 6 months to 2 years
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of welding experience required
- Experience with SMAW and FCAW welding processes
- Experience in construction or equipment repair environments preferred
- Carpentry experience is considered a significant asset
- Welding certifications are an asset
- Safety certifications such as WHMIS, First Aid, or Fall Protection are considered assets
- Must be physically able to perform duties including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions
- Comfortable working in active construction or shop environments
- Safety-focused and attentive to detail
